Kilmartin Castle is an easy two-hour drive, through the stunning Scottish countryside, from Glasgow.

The A82 takes you out of the city and in turn, becomes the A83. When you reach a church with graveyard rolling down the hillside, you have reached Kilmartin.

Once in the village, turn right immediately after Kilmartin Hotel, drive slowly past the white cottages on either side as free-range animals and children may be roaming. Head directly to the very end of the road. You will come to a gravel track. This leads on to Kilmartin Castle.
