Dinner
The castle’s candlelit dining room is on the ground floor. The original stone walls and barrel-vaulted ceiling make dinner here an unforgettable experience.
When booking the castle exclusively our private chef can be hired separately to work with you on preparing a dinner party or castle breakfast of your choice. Our chef uses local ingredients, many of which are grown in the our organic kitchen garden.
We also have a fantastic supplier of local seafood.
Exclusive use guests are welcome to cook in the castle kitchen, of course.
For warm sunny days you will also have full access to the outdoor kitchen when booking the castle exclusively. The kitchen is well eqipped with BBQ, Kamadoe Joe and Deli Vita pizza oven. Fully stocked with Falconware plates, glasses and cuttlery, there is also a sink with hot running water for washing up.
In January 2023 we will be building a glasshouse over the dining table in the outdoor kitchen. This will enable guests to continue eating al fresco during any light Scottish rain showers.
A separate dining table with pergola is located to the front of the castle.
If you are joining us as a bed and breakfast guest we offer smorgasbords, crammed full of local Scottish cheeses, venison charcuterie, oat cakes and homemade preserves. Enjoy in the grand hall or outside in the castle garden between 6-8pm. Kilmartin Castle is a licensed premises offering alcoholic and non alocoholic drinks.
